Baumea rubiginosa - ‘Variegata’ Variegated Striped Rush

Baumea rubiginosa ‘Variegata’, commonly known as the Variegated Striped Rush or Variegated Twig-Rush, is a striking evergreen perennial sedge native to the wetlands of Australia and New Zealand. It is highly prized in water gardening for its rigid, upright architecture and vibrant, vertical gold and rich green stripes that run the entire length of its slender, round leaves.

In late summer, it produces delicate, lacy clusters of reddish-brown flower spikelets near the leaf tips, adding an earthy, smoky contrast to the bright, luminous foliage.
