Cyperus giganteus - Giant Papyrus

Cyperus giganteus, commonly known as Giant Papyrus or Mexican Papyrus, is a massive, fast-growing aquatic perennial sedge native to Central and South America. Reaching heights of 6 to 10 feet (2 to 3 meters), it forms striking architectural clumps of thick, triangular green stems topped by exploding tufts of fine, thread-like leaves. 

While it looks nearly identical to Egyptian Papyrus (Cyperus papyrus), Cyperus giganteus generally features more upright, compact flower heads and exhibits significantly better frost and cold tolerance, allowing it to survive harsher winters when submerged in deep water
