The Nexus is one of the most trusted koi pond filters available, and Evolution Aqua just improved it further. The Nexus 220+ and Nexus 320+ now feature K+ Media in the moving bed outer chamber for stronger biological filtration and faster filter maturation. Both models ship "auto ready," with fixings already in place for an easy upgrade to the Nexus Automatic Cleaning System.

How the Nexus Works

Pond water enters the inner chamber, where a vortex action settles out larger solids. It then passes through the stainless steel "Eazy" filter, where static bed K1 Micro® media removes finer particles. From there, water moves to the outer chamber for biological filtration, where beneficial bacteria on the K1+ Media convert ammonia and nitrite into less harmful nitrate before the clean water returns to your pond.
