Iris × pseudata 'Shimo Murasaki' is an exceptionally unique and rare dwarf interspecies hybrid water iris. Bred by Hiroshi Shimizu and registered in 2021, it stands out as one of the few true miniatures in the Pseudata class, receiving an American Iris Society Honorable Mention. Its name beautifully translates from Japanese as "Purple Lining," hinting at the striking, multi-layered color configuration of its blossoms.
