Oenanthe javanica ‘Flamingo’, widely known as Variegated Water Celery (or Java Dropwort), is a highly popular, colorful aquatic perennial. The "Flamingo" effect relies heavily on light and temperature. In mid-summer heat, the pink edges may soften to a creamy white. Cool spring weather triggers an explosion of intense rose-pink margins.

This plant functions as an exceptional bio-filter. Its rapid growth allows it to aggressively consume excess nutrients (nitrates and phosphates) directly from the water column, outcompeting algae and keeping pond water crystal clear.
