Zephyranthes candida - White fairy lily

Zephyranthes candida (widely known as the White Fairy Lily, White Rain Lily, or Autumn Zephyrlily) is a charming, bulbous perennial native to the marshes and riverbanks of South America (including Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Brazil). A member of the Amaryllidaceae family, it earns its "rain lily" moniker because its crocus-like flowers frequently burst into mass bloom overnight in direct response to late-summer and autumn rainstorms.
